Fun and Friendship

The Social group aims to encompass all types of events/activities which any of its members wish to organise that are not generally catered for by other groups, though overlap may occasionally occur. Some may be niche, or limited in number and some all embracing. These are very informal gatherings and may range from: meeting for a drink, a meal, a visit, a tour, etc., all the way to more adventurous activities and anything in between. These will generally be within a reasonable driving distance (car share may be available). On occasions, payments may need to be made upfront.

It is hoped that events will be offered about once a month, though this is not set in stone, and the date and time are set by the event organiser. Each event is organised by interested members in rotation, for which help and support is always available. Occasionally there will be a ‘low key’ open event, which will be advertised at the monthly meetings and on the webpage.
