In an increasingly digital age, we now use not only the 'standard' equipment for accessing the internet (i.e. laptops and desktops), but also a variety of mobile devices such as iPhones, iPads, tablets and Android phones (such as Samsung). It can be intimidating when faced with a huge array of new technology and new ways of doing things, and this group is aimed at helping people through that maze of technology so that they can use their device to best fit their way of life. Whether it's coming to terms with a new version of Windows or using a smartphone for the first time (or just using your phone!), we can help you find out some of the answers.
Our group is open to any member of Wem u3a who needs help, whether you come to a single session or join the group on a longer term basis. Currently, we meet on the third Wednesday of the month at 11am, and you are more than welcome at any time!
We do often have specific sessions aimed at users who want to know more about using their mobile devices i.e. iPhones, Android phones, iPads, tablets or laptop. Any current meetings are detailed below, and cover anything from knowing how to use your phone through to using it safely online for things such as banking, video platforms and social media. Please get in touch if you want to know more, either by email or asking for information at one of the General meetings.
